Press Releases

ECDL IMAGEMAKER has been specifically designed for anyone who wants to acquire the skills to work with digital images, without having to commit to the time and expense of a professional-level digital image editing certification.

Developed by the ECDL Foundation, ECDL IMAGEMAKER is a new certification designed to give you the basic skills required to use and manipulate digital images.

By explaining the basics and cutting through the jargon, ECDL IMAGEMAKER gives you the practical skills you need to get the most out of your digital images.

This makes ECDL IMAGEMAKER an ideal certification for second-level students, small businesses, community groups or individuals.

ECDL IMAGEMAKER certifies that a Candidate can:

• understand some of the main concepts underlying digital images

• identify key features of digital images, including pixel and resolution
• define and understand copyright issues
• define and understand common colour models
• understand terms including hue, saturation, colour balance, palette, colour depth, transparency, contrast, brightness and gamma
