The management of Equalskills in an approved centre is simple
and straightforward. The programme is administered electronically
through an online management system.
The Equalskills Centre registers on-line with ICS SKILLS at the Equalskills website, by clicking on Ireland on the map of the world, and orders a number of EEU’s. An Equalskills centre needs
one EEU for each candidate who is enrolled in the programme.
When they sign-up to deliver Equalskills, all centres must
commit to purchasing 10 EEU’s annually.
The progress of each candidate is tracked on the system.
Certification is awarded on the basis of, continuous assessment
with the facilitator signing off each section of the workbook
when they are satisfied that the candidate fully understands
the content and has completed the tasks. When the programme
is finished, the workbook fully completed and the website
updated to reflect this, the facilitator sends the sign-off
sheet from the back of the workbook to ICS SKILLS. An Equalskills
certificate is awarded to the successful candidate.
ICS SKILLS will provide Equalskills centres with a Standards
and Procedures document when the application process is
complete. This is a comprehensive yet simple guide to setting
up Equalskills in a new centre. It outlines how to use the
online administration system to appoint and add facilitators,
order EEU’s, register candidates and have them certified.
It also has a handy FAQ section.
