Certified Training Professional (CTP) is an international qualification in training which was developed by the ECDL Foundation and is licensed in Ireland by ICS SKILLS. CTP defines an objective standard for instructor led training and provides a mechanism for trainers to have their competence recognised and certified.
The CTP programme has two streams, for experienced trainers and for new or aspiring trainers. Experienced trainers attend a three-day CTP Certification workshop before completing a comprehensive report on their skills and abilities, called the Trainers Evidence Record. (For full details on certification pgm see link on left)
New and aspiring trainers must attend a twelve-week CTP Development course, which incorporates forty hours of training observation, before moving on to the CTP Certification phase of the programme. (For full details on development pgm see link on left)
FÁS has officially recognised the CTP qualification as a basis for inclusion in the FÁS/EI Register of Trainers.
CTP is being by run by independent training providers, in conjunction with ICS SKILLS, nationally, full details on all upcoming courses are available on the link on left.
