ECDL CAD is a programme for students and professionals who wish to acquire an internationally recognised qualification to certify core skills that can provide the basis for further studies or professional development in a CAD related field.
ECDL CAD requires the student to demonstrate competency in using some of the standard available features of a 2D CAD application. This includes creating, manipulating and modifying objects or elements.
ECDL CAD does not cover 3D design or specific technical domains such as architecture or mechanical design.
Attainment of the ECDL CAD certification requires that the candidate can change object properties, and undertake printing or plotting activity associated with the delivery of outputs. The candidate is also required to demonstrate competency in using some of the more advanced features of CAD applications software such as inserting objects from other applications.
