The ECDL CAD Programme provides an opportunity for people who wish to develop advanced skills in computer aided design and to achieve certification with the same international acclaim as the traditional ECDL qualifications. It provides a clear pathway for candidates who have the required proficiency in ECDL Modules 1, 2 and 7 (required for certification) to a recognisable standard in CAD applications.

Many ECDL test centres are experiencing a demand for follow-on courses from candidates who have completed the core level ECDL. As well as offering the ECDL Advanced programme, test centres are providing a service to these clients, and to others who are working in specialised areas, by delivering training and testing in ECDL CAD, the first in a series of ECDL Specialist programmes which will be made available by the ECDL Foundation.
